It is used in Chinese cooking as a seasoning, as well as an ingredient. It is most famously used as a condiment and glaze for roasted meats, most commonly with Mu Shu dishes, and Peking Duck.Once opened, canned Hoisin sauce should be transferred to a non-metal container, tightly sealed and refrigerated.
